WiFi Detector

Making Waves with Radio is a design partnership of museum educators, designers, engineers, education researchers and evaluators working together with museums, community organizations, and science centers to develop a suite of informal STEM education resources. These mobile-ready resources are designed to raise awareness and understanding of radio frequency communication and Wi-Fi technologies; and build interest and engagement in future technical careers.

This Privacy Policy describes the information collected by BSCS Science Learning ("we," "us" or "our") through our mobile application "WiFi Detector."

We do not collect any personal data with "WiFi Detector." When you download and use "WiFi Detector," we don't require you to provide any data, and we do not collect any information about you or your device.

Your device's coarse location permission is required as "WiFi Detector" accesses your current WiFi connection to obtain the SSID, RSSI, and frequency. This information is reported in "WiFi Detector." This WiFi data is processed ephemerally and is accessed and used only while the application is running. It is stored only in memory and is retained for no longer than necessary to service the specific request in real-time.

"WiFi Detector" complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. We do not knowingly collect personal data of any kind from users of any age.

Users may contact us via email if they have questions about "WiFi Detector." We may receive a user's email address and other information about a user if the user submits that information to us through email. We will only use this information to respond to any inquiries from the user.
