Explore how interference disrupts radio communication

In this activity, learners explore how interference affects radio communication. Using three micro:bits—one as a transmitter, one as a receiver, and one as a signal jammer—they experiment with how signal disruptions can occur when multiple devices transmit at the same time or when physical barriers block or weaken signals. Learners test how changing radio channels and repositioning devices can improve communication and reduce interference. Supporting prompts are included to help learners connect their findings to real-world technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and drones, and to better understand how these systems manage interference and maintain reliable connections.
